This bigger, chunkier flexible tripod is just right for those pieces of optical equipment bigger than your mobile phone.
The manufacturer claims they can carry an DSLR but I think that is pushing it. Possibly a mirrorless camera with a small lens would be fine. With my DSLR it tended to splay it's legs to the widest positions which limited its use. It did work perfectly fine in any geometry with both my action camera and my compact camera.
